Facebook: A Jack of All Trades

It is becoming amazing when you can basically do everything on one social network. But when you hear that Facebook’s “Monthly active users now total 901 million (up from 680 million a year ago)”, it’s not such a surprise. Facebook has provided the option to advertise, sell and donate while still providing a social meeting place. You can get coupons and discounts while socializing. You can also send gifts to people. If it is their Birthday or Anniversary or any occasion, you can actually send them a gift card through Facebook and use it just like a credit card. Brilliant!

It is so convenient for businesses because it is where the people are. You can post products and news. You can post about events. There is almost nothing that can’t be done on Facebook. I am sure you have seen these before:

People are taking advantage of advertising their business on Facebook because it is working for them. So, needless to say if you are not using Facebook for business, you are missing out on opportunity. I myself have seen friends of my own “Like” a business or company, and I will go ahead and “Like” them as well. It actually gives you the option right there, to do the same.

If that doesn’t sell you to become a Facebook guru, this should. When you “Like” a certain business you then get a list of other suggested businesses where YOUR business could show up! Sold yet? You should be. Take the step to building a company Facebook page and you will not regret setting up this platform for your business to basically have the advantage of finding customers, get basically free advertising and to spread your brand.
